The PC game I played years ago beats this a hundred times over. I cant stand the awful navigation. Why not make the navigation smooth so you can look at anything from any angle? Why they would implement it thusly was is beyond my understanding.

"Awful navigation"? It is EXACTLY the same as the old game, they only condensed it for iPod/iPhone, thats how Riven and Myst are. This isnt your state-of-the-art, free-moving, shooting game. This game is all about puzzles (really hard ones honestly, it took me forever to beat the game the first time, after playing it several times and just walking around... But even that was cool because the Ages are all so interesting to look at). Ive only ever played Myst, Riven, and Exile, but I do want to try Revelation, End of Ages, and Uru. I love this game for the clever puzzles and beautiful scenery, if that sounds like something you want, try it, this ones free. If you dont like the way the game plays or looks (Im also disappointed that its not optimized for iPad, but theres nothing we can do about it, thats all Cyan) dont buy it, simple.

Spent only minutes and deleted game. Terrible navigation and pop up ads were distracting. I understand this was a free version of the game but the ads were so annoying and distracting I could not even enjoy the game enough to want to buy the full version.

Can we have an iPhone 5 screen support? Thank you for not ruining this awesome game with IAP cancer.

This free version with pop up ads is bad. I played Myst 20 years ago and this app works the same way of turning in the direction you then move. Great game once you learn how to move and great sound and color in pictures. I deleted the FREE and will most likely buy the free version soon. I loved the original game- still have and my solution record of events book.

This game is exactly how I remember it, but the free version is full old really bright annoying advertising that kill all ambiance, and that is what made this game work. The advertising is likely to drive away potential customers who are unfamiliar with it. Deleted. Did not even play the first island through as was so annoying.

This demo is plagued by a constant barrage of ads for Cyans other games. Rather than encourage me to try other games, it has made me delete this. Its also not iPad friendly. On the iPad the game needs to be doubled and then the ads are huge. The demos quality and production values kept me from wanting more.

I like the pc version way more

Froze the first time I tried free version of Myst. Had to delete App and try again. Too bad as Mac Version was rock stable.

This is like the original. Yes, the nav is clunky and there are advertisements. But, think about how long ago they made the original. It still stands the test of time. Im considering getting the full version (I wish I had an iPad for a better experience). I wonder if my progress on this app will apply?...

Great game. Played at beat all of the series back in the early 90s. Decided to try again after 20 yrs. still an awesome game! Hesitant about purchasing full game because of price. Since Ive played before i know there isnt a WHOLE lot left in Myst. Rather not pay 4.99 to then turn around with 3.99 for Riven.
